a list of things.

things that i don't like.
  • people who want to be my friend on shoutlife. have you not noticed that I haven't even logged on to the site in over a year??
  • when blogger users leave comments and it links to their blogger profile instead of directly to their blog. [this isn't bashing anyone who leaves comments like that, but personally, when i leave a comment i look for the option to use the name and url instead of my blogger profile.]
  • not having enough time to write a really good blog post, pull weeds, really dig into learning something new.
  • incorrect usage of eager and anxious.
  • ants in my apartment. on the floor, on my computer, on my table, in my sink. ugh.
  • bare-belly pregnancy pics. (unless they're used in an artsy photography way.) i can get the same effect of your baby bump with your shirt pulled down thankyouverymuch.
  • sites that require a registration to download free stuff.
  • sallie mae. it will be a day of celebration when i kick her to the curb.
  • being overdue for a haircut. this one deserves before & after pics.
things that make me happy.
  • having food in the cabinets.
  • tax refunds.
  • downloading free stuff.
  • getting inspired by dave ramsey to save money.
  • strawberry jello with bananas and marshmallows.
  • friends (of the tv show and real life variety).
  • seeing my gladiolas growing more each day when i get home from work.
  • being able to encourage someone else.
  • knowing that God loves me more than i can imagine.
what annoys you or makes you happy?

hahahah that's funny...

things that annoy me:

1. people who wait at the last minute to pull out their checkbook to pay for something when they've been standing in line for over 10 minutes.
2. Slow drivers.
3. Fast drivers.
4. The gunk on the outside of the ketchup bottle.
5. Living with people who leave stuff lying around, and then get on your case if you leave a pair of shoes by the front door. LOL

Things I like (you wrote the good stuff!)
1. Great friends who update their blogs. ;)))
2. Blue skies.
3. The ocean.
4. Thunderstorms.
5. The color blue.
6. PS I Love You.

Yikes. I would be #2 on your things you don't like list. Sorry :(

Things I don't like: people who have kids and leave them at day care for 10+ hours, feeling guilty, bad drivers, movie critics (since I always end up liking movies that get bad reviews, go figure), waking up early, salt water, credit cards

Things I like: bubble baths, having money, freshly baked chocolate chip cookies, reading, sleeping, exercise, tanning. I could go on forever. :)

Thanks for your sweet comment on my blog! I had been in this really funky mood and didn't know why so I wrote it, hoping it would come to me. Obviously, it did! :)

I'm signing this with my name going straight to my blog, yay for me!

i want you to know that you have nearly completely cured me of misusing the words "anxious" and "eager." i nearly always use them correctly.
(i'm sure you have my blog saved somewhere else so i'm not going to bother with the whole name/url thing)

Ditto on the ants thing. I have them all over the place right now and am at my wit's end.

Things I don't like:
1) Blogs that automatically start playing music when I visit. (I usually have my own tunes playing, am watching tv, or need things quiet so my daughter doesn't wake up, so it is very annoying and one reason I don't visit MySpace anymore.)

Things I love:
1) When people leave a URL when leaving a blog comment. I love to return visit folks!

2) Getting lots of free books at Borders by using our Discover Card and racking up rewards as a result for $ we would have spent anyways. (We pay it off every month so there's no interest.)

3) The fact that our 5 year ARM loan came due and readjusted to a LOWER rate automatically. Hooray for not refinancing and waiting out the poor economy.

4) Reading other people's blogs. I am addicted. :)

First of all, I have the ant problem sometimes and "Terro" works wonders. Every time. Find some, pronto.
Secondly, I can never remember on which post of yours I've commented. So could you reply on my site? haha. You scratch my back I'll scratch yours?
And I'm going to work on changing my header photo as soon as I finish commenting here. Thank you for your advice friend. I think I am going to steal your idea and post about things I dislike and like.

Happy Thursday Amanda, you inspire me to comment more than the other few blogs I read. And someday, hopefully this summer, I'm going to start my own blog. Ah yes, some day!

Annoying things - I totally agree with Riemer about blogs that automatically play music. I have my own taste, and it's more than likely, not yours. I also hate it when the background & font color don't have enough contrast to be easily read.

Bad grammar - English isn't an easy language, but it's not that tough. And spell check can't figure out when a correctly spelled word isn't the correct word.

Opening the 'fridge in the morning and finding someone used the last egg & didn't mention it to the grocery buyer (me).

Cell phones ringing in church. Pa-leeze!

And, purely a tech thing, people who have to tap a microphone to "make sure it's on" instead of trusting the sound mixer.

Things that make me happy -

Rain, and I certainly have been happy this past month.

Route 44 Dr. Pepper's with the little ice and the happy bubbles. *contented sigh*

A job thoughtfully and well done - be it a great mixing job by a sound tech, a great ppt, or even laundry neatly folded & put away (instead of piled in a basket to fold later, of which I'm much too guilty).

Good to have you back this weekend, Amanda. I did a pretty poor job of it last week.

Things I don't like:

1. Not having time to relax and cook.
2. not getting to catch with friends.
3. BIG BIG spider in the laundry room (or anywhere)

Things I so do enjoy
1. My wonderful hubby
2. My hubby killing the bigs spiders that I wouldnt enter the room until Rob killed it.
3. Chai every morning that Rob makes for me.
4. New grass coming up in our yard.
5. Friends and their blogs!

It is the little things in life!

I've been working on a list for my blog too! My list is of things I'm currently crushing on… Coming soon!!

@Sanchez - I love love love PS I Love You. Girls night, perhaps?

@Stephany - I don't like feeling guilty, or knowing that I am responsible for hurting someone else.

@Mel - haha. I'm glad to have been such a good influence on you. :)

@Amy - I'm with you on the slow drivers. And the ants. And the spiders. I haven't been skinny for a while, so I can't really relate...yet.

@Mindee - I rarely have time for a Sunday afternoon nap because I'm doing laundry and visiting my g-rents. But when I do have time, they are definitely the best.

@Amber - I agree on the music blogs. Very annoying. Especially when maybe I'm at work and shouldn't be blog surfing... but I'd never do that... Congrats on your loan! How many blogs do you have in Google Reader? I might have you beat. :)

@Mandy - I'm leaving a comment here, will also leave a comment on my next post, and will also go comment on your blog and scratch your back since I'm pretty sure you won't be reading this one. ;)

@Jenn - I haven't been watching AI, but are you talking about the guy who screamed last night? They kept playing that sound clip on the radio this afternoon after saying "it's just so horrible... I don't think I can listen to it again."

@Veda - I'm glad that you comment! And you leave long ones too! :) I think your blog would be great. If you wrote about DP every day, I'd still come read it.

@HY - I knew it was you. You're the only one who has a Rob to make chai for her. :)

@Sara - I'm looking forward to your list! I'm all about crushes.

@Demo - I am not sure how many blogs I am following. Too many to count for sure! I subscribe to 150+, but some of them I just skim for useful or interesting articles. I use Netvibes and have them separated into several different categories to help organize their importance and/or topic (e.g. People I know [ones I always read], Scrapbooking, Photoshop and Design, Techy, News, Other faves, etc.)
