Sometimes you just need time away

|
Friday night was the first night in months that I'd had to myself and actually got something done. My apartment was much overdue for some TLC and I just needed a break from people. Saturday was an adventure and I was either cleaning or in the kitchen most of the day. This knocked me out in the evening, but I didn't "hit my wall" until about 11 (which is pretty amazing because before C25k I couldn't stay awake past 9:00). Here is a recap of my day, in pictures:

Spent some time at the clay studio finishing up some pots since my class was almost over.
Went to the farmer's market and splurged on a $3 bouquet of fresh cut flowers.
And I got some fresh fruit and veggies. I was sad to discover worms in the corn though. :(
Took pictures of a golf bag...
...and my old rollerblades to either sell on ebay, sell on craigslist, or give away on freecycle.
Made potato salad for a bbq...
...and browned 2 pounds of ground beef to freeze for when I need it. And while this was happening, the drain in my neighbor's sink backed up into mine. Fortunately it wasn't icky since she was only washing dishes.
And I gave my 10 boxes of brownies a prominent place on my kitchen shelf.
They were on a major sale at Dillon's and I couldn't resist.

How often do you get to relax, and what do you like to do?

Getting all that stuff done sounds lovely!

Ack! Your neighbor's sink backs into yours? That is the stuff I have nightmares about.

What size are your rollerblades? I know someone that needs a pair (J is the one)

Are you not posting a pic of your excellent pottery? I am going to take a pic of my favorite and post it next week after our Chicago trip. You have around about 6 more days until we surface again! LOL

Heather, I'm working on a post about pottery. Don't worry! I haven't talked about it for so long to not show off my stuff! :)

Mindee, fortunately it has only happened that one time in the 2 years I've been there. I think I'd just gotten a little lazy with scraping my plates...

Saturdays are my downtime days...even though those are the days I work on homework. Ha...but they're still nice. I get to sleep in and slowly ease myself into homework. :)

I like to clean on my days off. Weird, but I really like it. :)))
